Customs formed from millennia of human commerce are being overturned. Rules rewritten and intuitions discarded, we are hurdling into a revolution in economics, charting a new era of digital markets driven by cybernetic agents.

We will have trouble understanding these agents. They will create synthetic assets alien to our experiences, negotiate at superhuman speeds, and cooperate and compete to form an emergent superintelligence. Orchestration of compute, storage, bandwidth, information, energy, and capital will be driven to the limits of physics, leading to an unprecedented pace of scientific breakthroughs.

Arkhai revolutionizes what lies at the core of this transformation: markets. The markets of yesteryear will not suffice in this new epoch of economics. Arkhai's modular marketplace primitives solve this problem by enabling the construction of a wide array of marketplaces from basic building blocks.

While economists and game theorists cast shadows of "utility-maximizing" agents for their audiences, they themselves did not even understand the figures they held in their hand. Since the advent of game theory in the early 20th century, we have developed algorithms which can indeed approximate ideal behaviour in strategic environments. We are building the agents long dreamt of; where before we only saw shadows, come join us in leaving the cave and seeing the light.

Arkhai is the plural of the Greek archē — first principles — the elemental causes and starting points that ancient Greek philosophers sought to discover.
